Short term rentals.

My wife caught real a estate bug.
Not that I am opposed to it, on the contrary, I believe the RE to be one of the pillars on investing and diversified portfolio.
We have been trying to decide for a long time what route to choose: flips, long term rentals, vacation rentals, inside US, outside US.
So we have finally decided on short-term-rentals through AirBnB. What appealed to us is the potential cash-on-cash return that can be had AND the ability to convert to long term rentals.
We don’t know how long-lived the AirBnB train will be and are we in the last wagon or have we missed it entirely, but with so much going for the real estate in general: between the equity accumulation through tennants, appreciation, tax brakes, inheritance laws, etc… we thought this would be a wise return on our time.
In the interest of learning, we have signed up for the STR course put together by one youtuber, called “robuilt” his program is called “hostcamp” where he talks about nuances and strategies around the business. I will put together a better review once we are finished with the program, but thus far it has given us enough value to justify the cost. I am adapting a new philosophy on learning – I would rather be paying someone to shortcut the effort it would take me to learn a skill, versus spending time I don’t have on self teaching from google and yutube.

…later my dental assasins
